A special evening was spent honoring John and Marlene Boll for their generous support of the 30,000 people in our state who live with Parkinson’s, as well as their families and caregivers.
The short video below shows how the support can impact lives:
John and Marlene’s generosity gave promise to the very idea of the Michigan Parkinson Foundation 34 years ago, when John served as this Foundation’s Chairman of the Board.
Since then, the Foundation’s promise never changed: to provide support and education to people with Parkinson’s and to those who care for them, improving their quality of life.
The money raised enables the Foundation to fulfill the promise: funding financial assistance for in-home personal care, respite care and medication; providing daily exercise programs led by physical therapists as well as weekly education programs; producing printed educational material; enabling pro bono legal advice, and facilitating Parkinson support groups. All these services are provided free of charge through your generous support.
The event took place on Thursday, September 9th at the Detroit Athletic Club. Tickets were sold for $300. The program was as follows:
6:00 pm Cocktails (Cocktail music provided by a DSO ensemble)
7:00 pm Dinner
